  • 2011-2012: Gerard presents and plays in a major DVD/CD project on the French organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll to be released by FugueStateFilms in the Autumn of 2012.
  • Oct 2010: In July 2010, Gerard recorded two CDs of music by Saint-Saëns (The Preludes and Fugues, Rhapsodies on Breton themes, Fantaisies and Improvisations) on the Cavaillé-Coll/Merklin organ of the church of St. Antoine XV-XX in Paris for the Priory label. These are scheduled for release from 2011.
  • Sep 2010: From September 2010, Gerard takes up a post of organ professor at the Royal Academy of Music with particular responsibility for improvisation.
  • Aug 2010: The complete rebuilding of the famous organ (see specification - PDF, 63 KB) at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster by Harrison & Harrison is proceeding according to schedule. The opening concerts will take place on the weekend of 8-9th October 2011.
  • Sep 2009: Following the opening of the new Kenneth Tickell organ at Latymer Upper School, Hammersmith, Gerard has been appointed its first organ tutor and in September 2009 began teaching the newly-founded Organ Class of 13 students.
  • Aug 2009: Gerard recently composed and performed the soundtracks for 9 short animated films for the Bible Reading Fellowship entitled 'Mary & Joseph - the Road Movie'. These will go live online, October 2009 - Paperless Christmas.
  • May 2008: After twenty years at All Souls, Gerard was appointed Director of Music at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, a post he took up in April 2008. He follows in a line of distinguished musicians, including W.S. Lloyd Webber and one of his first tasks will be to help oversee the major renovation of the famous Hill organ of 1912.
